Follow Up To My Post From Dec 2021 WH14NS40

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I returned 2 new burners to LG in Dec 2021 which I purchased from Newegg. Each burner died within 2 months from the date I received each one. I send both to LG for replacements. LG sent me used replacements. The 2 replacements were both model WH16NS40. I was able to burn about 15 Blu Ray discs with the first burner before it died. I installed the second burner. I was about to burn 6 Blu Rays before it died. Both would spin up and down then fail. They ruined many of my blank Blu Ray discs. I installed both in another computer. They both failed. I ran Dell Support Assistant on my computer. After testing each drive it stated hardware failure for both. Before 2021 the LG burners I purchased lasted me 1 year plus. The 2 I purchased in 2021 and the 2 replacements are junk. LG might be using cheaper parts to cut costs. I will not return these used burners and pay for return shipping.
